At an earlier board meeting the treasurer suggested increasing revenue and memberships with more marketing. This proposal is to make a batch of branded custom pencils. The pencils would be for the following staff; Tour guides, as a souvenir for open house guests at the end of the tour, Area hosts as a token of appreciation to members who show merit, and authorizers to give to those members who complete their authorizations as required.
The intended effect would be; to raise awareness of the makerspace, increase engagement in new and current members, encourage undecided visitors to join at a later date.
This could also be a trial product to test the vendor for a more elaborate kind of branded pencils. They have alternate quote generating form for items such as carpenter pencils with both sides printed with a customer supplied graphic. The board can also gain feedback on what effect merchandising may have.

At an earlier board meeting the treasurer suggested increasing revenue and memberships with more marketing. This proposal is to make a batch of branded custom pencils. The pencils would be for the following staff; Tour guides, as a souvenir for open house guests at the end of the tour, Area hosts as a token of appreciation to members who show merit, and authorizers to give to those members who complete their authorizations as required.
This could also be a trial product to test the vendor for a more elaborate kind of branded pencils. They have alternate quote generating form for item such as carpenter pencils with both sides printed with a customer supplied graphic. The board can also gain feedback on what merchandising may have.
