Discord is Pumping Station: One's primary real time communications platform. With Discord, you can chat with other members and get some quick answers, share project, and participate with the community.
How do I get on PS1's Discord server?
If you didn't already get an invitation, first log into your member portal. In the Quick Links section click the join Discord link. If you don't already have a Discord account, that invite link will walk you through making one. You can download the Discord mobile or desktop apps, or just use it through a web browser.
What else should I know about Discord?
- Notifications: You can modify notification settings for the whole PS1 server, or just channels.
- Get verified: After you join the PS1 Discord server you should be directed to get #✅-verify! as a member, which allows you some emergency options to get inside the building. If not, join the #✅-verify! channel to complete your verification.
- Join clubs: Because you like to know about stuff happening in the parts of PS1 you enjoy being in. You can find the Channels & Roles section on the top of the channels list.
- Introductions: Say hello in #introductions.
- Hack the planet: Share projects you're working on in #whathaveyoubeenhacking.

- Discord Channels - are used for chatting in.
- Discord Permissions - are used for controlling channel access.
- Discord Bots - are used for automation, convenience, and silliness.
