Hardware

The member Proxmox cluster consists of qty 3 Supermicro servers located in RU ??-?? of member rack 1. Each server is labelled with its hostname. Each physical host has approx. 128GB RAM and 4TB of logical storage (zRAID1). The CPU is an Intel Xeon E5-2620 @ 2.6GHz, with 24 cores.

Tasks

See below for more details on tasks.

Task List
Task Status Completed By
Install PVE9 on all machines In Progress (2/3)
Install supporting infrastructure To-Do
Identify future tasks To-Do

Install PVE9

A quirk of these hosts is that they need nomodeset applied to their kernel command line. This is most easily done in the installer's GRUB menu. When installing with Ventoy, an additional edit must be made to the first-boot kernel command line to remove rdinit=/vtoy/vtoy, otherwise the initramfs will kernel panic.

Supporting Infrastructure

What supporting infrastructure is needed for this cluster? A separate L2 network? Separate L2 for the PVE management interface? DHCP/DNS?
