This page describes the steps to ban or suspend a member.
Processing a Ban or Suspension
These steps should only be performed immediately after a person has been notified of their ban or suspension.
PS:One Admin Portal (Deep Harbor)
- Login to the PS:One Admin Portal
- Search for the member
- Select the Status tab and click Edit
- Change Membership Status to Banned
- Save the profile
- An email will not be sent to the member at this step
This will suspend access to the following:
- Door Access
- B2C Login
- Member Management
- Canvas
- Wiki
Stripe Subscription
- Login to Stripe
- Locate the individual's current subscription via email
- On the subscription page:
- Select "Actions"
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Ensure "Immediately" is selected, do not change any other options
- Press "Cancel Subscription"
- Individual will be notified immediately that their subscription has been cancelled
Discord Access
- Identify the individual in the Discord server
- Right click their username
- Select "Ban [username]"
- Enter reason as "banned member" or something appropriate but simple for audit purposes
- Select "Don't Delete Any" under Delete Message History
- Do NOT delete member messages unless directed by the DRC or by emergency order of the board. Messages should be retained for archival and investigative purposes.
- Click "Ban"
How to reverse a ban
PS:One Admin Portal (Deep Harbor)
- Login to the PS:One Admin Portal
- Search for the member
- Select the Status tab and click Edit
- Change Membership Status to Suspended
- Save the profile
- Send the member instructions on how to pay via Stripe to reactivate their membership
Stripe Subscription
- No action is needed at this time
Discord Access
- Open Server Settings
- Navigate to "Bans"
- Click the individual you would like to unban
- Select "Revoke Ban"
- If the individual is rejoining, send a new Discord invite link
