Troubleshooting

Fix a flashing clean light

Option 1 from the site above:

The "Clean" light may flash continuously after the powerbreaker is tripped. To reset the control panel and turn off the flashing lights, close the dishwasher and press the following buttons in order within 5 seconds: “Heated Dry,” “Normal Wash,” “Heated Dry” and “Normal Wash”. After pressing the buttons, the Kenmore dishwasher will begin a short, 12 minute test cycle and reset the control panel.

Notes

  • The button for the latch, located on the center top of the door, does not have a positive feel for its locked/unlocked states.
  • You must make sure that the latch is securely fastened shut for the dishwasher to work. Push on the door and you can hear a light click when the latch is engaged. Check this by pulling on an edge of the door, not on the latch button.
  • The dishwasher runs a sensing cycle for a few minutes at the very beginning of a wash, it is very quiet and does not appear to spray water during that time.
  • If you open the dishwasher mid-cycle make sure to press the Start/Resume button on the very far right of the machine.
